Review highlights

Based on 378 reviews

Caribbean Delight is praised for its authentic Jamaican and Caribbean flavors, with jerk chicken frequently highlighted as a standout dish. Customers appreciate generous portion sizes and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both individual meals and large orders. While the food quality consistently receives positive remarks, feedback often notes the small, no-frills setting and a somewhat challenging neighborhood location. Service experiences vary, with some patrons mentioning communication hurdles but generally forgiving them due to the delicious food. Overall, Caribbean Delight is recognized for delivering satisfying, flavorful meals that capture the essence of Caribbean cuisine despite modest ambiance and occasional service inconsistencies.

As expected in all Carribean restaurants, you won't get much service, and you'll never be able to tell who actually is supposed to be working the counter. Nevertheless, the food was good. However, I did feel cheated on the amount of chicken I received. Maybe it's because I'm used to Carribean restaurants given a full leg quarter cut up, versus just random pieces. I'm used to Carribean restaurants in the south. I'd probably try them again in the future a few months from now when I'm back in the area. I ordered both the jerk chicken and curry chicken plate. By the way this place is cash payments only.

So amazingly, good! I got the jerk chicken and it comes with cabbage and rice. Portions are huge. I would get it to go because the atmosphere is not so great. I will recommend to all my friends for sure!

The area is a little sketchy but thats usually where the good spots are, and it reigns true. I ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas with a side of jerk chicken. The rice didnt have many beans but thats jist how i like it. The lady got a little snappy with me because I didn't understand what she was saying but she apologized and this food was so delicious I wouldn't even cared if she didn't!!!! Will be returning everytime I visit Stl. Sorry i was hangry in my pics- i ate b4 doing the review Come to Fort Leonardwood please

Upon my inaugural visit to the Caribbean Delight establishment nestled in the vibrant yet challenging environs of Saint Louis's south side, I embarked upon a culinary journey that one might say was as audacious as it was delectable. The moment my palate encountered their rendition of jerk chicken, a symphony of flavors enveloped my senses with a crescendo of smoky warmth, punctuated by a harmonious blend of spices that danced upon my tongue. The succulent meat (mind the bones), painstakingly imbued with the essence of allspice, scotch bonnet peppers, and thyme, transported me to the sun-soaked shores of the islands. Though the geographical context added a certain frisson to the experience, the culinary prowess of Caribbean Delight proved triumphant, transcending the locale and bestowing upon my discerning palate a remarkable gustatory voyage. Delicious pineapple soda as well! Bravo Caribbean Delight!

This is a very small restaurant. If you blink you will miss it. I suggest you don't blink cause the food is amazing and works well for my budget. I ordered food for roughly 20 people. It was a huge order and they went out of there way to accommodate me. Needless to say everyone enjoyed the food. The only complaint i heard was that I did Not order enough cabbage LOL. So next time double cabbage. FYI Prices have gone up on all items especially the Ox tails since my original post. Be prepared to wait as well. My order was said to take 25 min for just jerk chicken @ 45 min at was still there. So just a heads up.
